How submission works
RebutCase never submits evidence for you. It prepares the response and saves it into the dispute's evidence in your Shopify admin. From there, the evidence reaches the bank in one of two ways.
1. You click Submit now
In Shopify, open the order and click Add evidence in the chargeback banner. Review the saved evidence, add any files, and click Submit now. The evidence goes to the bank straight away, and you cannot change it afterwards.
2. Shopify sends it on the due date
If you do nothing, Shopify sends the saved evidence to the bank automatically on the evidence due date. RebutCase emails you 72 and 24 hours before the deadline if nothing has been saved yet.
What gets saved
- The response text, where every sentence names the exhibit it comes from.
- Details such as your refund or cancellation policy, when they apply to the dispute.
- Fields Shopify already filled are left alone unless you choose to replace them, after seeing both versions.
The PDF evidence pack is downloaded from the app. Upload it on the order's Chargeback response page in Shopify so the bank can see the exhibits. Shopify accepts PDF, JPEG and PNG files of up to 2 MB each, 4 MB in total.
After you submit
The card issuer reviews the evidence and decides. Shopify says this can take up to 75 days. RebutCase shows the outcome when Shopify reports it. Nobody can promise an outcome, and RebutCase does not.
